The Ellington-White Community Development Corporation (EWCDC) opens its second national “Artists Who Teach” exhibition on Fourth Friday, September 25 and runs through November 21, with the help of a grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. This online exhibition will be available for viewing for one year.
“Artists Who Teach” is a national juried competition celebrating Visual Art Educators and Art Education. This exhibition showcases and supports the arts as an essential part of a complete education, no matter if it happens in the home, school, or community. Students of all ages—from kindergarten to college and beyond—benefit from artistic learning, innovative thinking, and a creative imagination.
“The support for this project helps to assist Ellington-White in implementing our mission of providing high quality arts events and activities for the community,” says Calvin Mims, EWCDC Executive Director.
This project is supported in part by contributions from businesses and individuals, and through grants from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
